First things first: without mentorship from Nicki Krawczyk, I wouldn’t have been able to build a 6-figure freelancing business. And I wouldn’t be writing this.
But I’m not alone in saying that.
Since joining Nicki K Media and the Fired Up Freelance team in 2019, I’ve seen first-hand how many students are able to build thriving freelance careers of their own.

Is freelancing a real career?
100%. I used to have this hang-up of freelancing being a “real” career. Not because I thought it was fake, but because no one around me understood what it meant to be a “freelancer.”
I felt like any time I told someone I was a freelancer they gave me a pitying look like, “Oh, so you’re unemployed?”
After shockingly too long (three years to be exact), I finally reframed how I was thinking about freelancing. It wasn’t “just freelancing.” I wasn’t part of a multi-level marketing company or blogging just for fun. I was the bread winner in my family. I was consistently making six figures each year.
So, I finally started saying I own my own business. Because I do.
Having a community like the Freelance Success Framework is not only validating, it reminds you that you are the CEO of your business.
It’s not “just” freelancing.
It’s my career.
Is there money in freelancing?
Yes. As mentioned above, I’ve consistently brought in six figures for several years. But I wouldn’t be consistently making a great living if I didn’t have the right systems in place.
But money isn’t the only thing that’s great about freelancing.
Freelancing gives me the freedom to work when I want.
It gives me the freedom to work from anywhere in the world (I spent four years in Germany!).
And it gives me the freedom to control my income.
So, if your goal is to make six figures, great! But you may have different goals. Heck, you may only want to freelance part-time. Or freelance around the holidays to generate more income for gifts!
That’s the beauty of freelancing: you control when, where, and why you work!

Why do I need a freelancing course?
What’s worth it to one person is not worth it to another.
If you’ve been struggling to bring in consistent work, riding the waves of freelance feast or famine,
If you’ve been on UpWork or Fiverr, reducing your rates to get a few clients,
If you’ve been struggling to figure out where to start,
Then a course like the Freelance Success Framework stands to pay for itself many, many times over. (Though, if you’re not sure what skills you can offer as a freelancer, start right here with this handy freelance jobs list.)
Obviously different courses offer different content, but what makes the Freelance Success Framework so valuable is the fact that it’s built on Nicki’s 20+ years of freelance experience, plus my more than 10 years freelance (including six of those full time).
You also get lifetime access to the course and a suuuuuper supportive (and super friendly!) group of freelancers who help keep you accountable and offer invaluable feedback.
The better question is “are freelancing courses” necessary? And unless you’re into reinventing the wheel versus following a tried-and-true system for landing consistent freelance work, then heck yes it’s worth it. Freelancing doesn’t have to be the mystery that it is. And it’s not made for a certain type of magical person who just knows it all. There’s literally no sense in making mistakes if you don’t have to.
Just like someone learning to fly a plane or become a doctor, you follow the steps needed to become an expert. That’s what the Freelance Success Framework offers for freelancers: the steps needed to become a freelancing pro.
So, why learn freelancing from Nicki Krawczyk?
I met Nicki more than a decade ago, when I was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time. Nicki was my boss and she encouraged me to use my skill (which happens to be copywriting) as a freelancer in addition to my full-time job.
Without her, I’m not sure I’d ever have even tried freelancing.
So, when I see questions “Is Nicki Krawczyk legit?” or “Is Freelance Success Framework worth it?” I 100% get the skepticism. But I also wish I had an extra set of hands so I could type, “Yes!!” to each and every one.
Not only are we humans (easy to forget online!), it’s our goal to make each Freelance Success Framework student feel supported and get the help they need to overcome challenges and cheer them on when they succeed.
