Copywriter Business Bootcamp email
Freelancer Self-Care email
Client: Since Fall 2019, I’ve been working with Filthy Rich Writer, an online course and community helping thousands of build thriving careers as copywriters.
Project: Each week, we send an email to our list to maintain engagement. The goal was improve open- and click-through rates compared to typical sends to show our list we’re always adding value and listening to student concerns.
Solution: Noticing a few pain points among copywriters, I created content to address these. We can repurpose the content to more quickly answer FAQs in the course’s students-only Facebook group. The Business Bootcamp series is a roundup of posts address common roadblocks to building a freelance business (taxes, business name, etc.). The self-care email drives to practical tips copywriters (and non-copywriters) can implement right now.
I also recommended incorporating our social links into the footer and wrote the blog posts that the emails link to.
Results: Normal sends have a 17.5% to 19% open rate with a 0.7 to 0.9% click through rate. Both of the above emails had significantly higher click through rates.
Similarly, a “websites copywriters need to bookmark” email had a 20.18% open rate and 1.71% click through rate.
